We were asked to create a poster for the Atlanta Arts & Culture Mayoral Forum. Designs were single color, screen printed, displayed and distributed at the event on September 25 at the Woodruff Arts Center. The poster was to display the message "Arts Mean Business" as well as the #ArtsVoteATL.
The concept: Given the title of "Arts Mean Business", the design was based around the idea that arts is the building block in business. Arts, design and creativity is the foundation to a great city. We illustrated abstract pieces as building blocks to form the skyline in the "build ATL" designs.
The idea behind the hands is that we are "molding/shaping " the city of Atlanta. Atlanta is a melting pot and every unique individual helps to create Atlanta what it is, so by using the negative and positive space it plays on that idea. Simple, minimalist designs that will hopefully make an impact in some small way.
